Next-Gen AI Failure Detection: Join the Private Beta

· 3 minutes de lecture

Back in 2020, we pioneered AI-powered failure detection for 3D printing. We called it The Spaghetti Detective. It was a little bit magic, a little bit sci-fi, and it saved a whole lot of print jobs from turning into plastic pasta.

Since then, we never stopped innovating. We rebranded to Obico, launched Nozzle Ninja (our first-layer AI sentinel), and even introduced JusPrin to handle the slicing for you.

But today? Today is about going back to our roots and making them stronger.

We are officially reinventing our core failure detection with a next-generation AI model.

The Smarter, Faster, "Eagle-Eyed" Detective

Riding the massive wave of recent advancements in the general AI field, we have rebuilt our detection engine from the ground up. This isn't just a tune-up; it's a complete overhaul.

Here is what the data tells us about the new model:

  • It's Sharper: It catches failures significantly sooner and can spot "micro-failures"—like tiny residues or "ears"—that the old algorithm would have happily ignored until it was too late.
  • It's Smarter: It can see in the dark. Literally. The new model detects errors even in low-light conditions where the human eye struggles.
  • It's Less Paranoid: We know how annoying it is when the AI pauses a perfect print because of a shadow. We are thrilled to report that the false positive rate has decreased by more than 50%.

Join the Private Beta

Because this new model is significantly more powerful, it takes more computational resources (and money) to run. However, we want to get this into your hands now to perfect it.

We are inviting you to join the Private Beta starting today.

The Rules of Engagement

Before you join, here is the deal:

  1. It's Free (For Now): During the beta period, you can use the new algorithm at no extra cost.
  2. The "Quid Pro Quo": In exchange for early access, you must provide feedback. You need to go to your print history and rate the AI detection results for more than 50% of your prints.
  3. Use It or Lose It: Because spots are limited and the model is expensive to run, we reserve the right to remove you from the beta if you aren't providing feedback, so we can make room for other users.
  4. Priority Access: Current Pro subscribers have priority over free users for being admitted to the beta testing.

How to Join the Private Beta

Ready to let the next-gen AI watch your back?

  1. Go to the Private Beta page.
  2. Look for the "Join the Private Beta" prompt.
  3. Optionally, upload a few existing timelapses to quickly try the new algorithm.
  4. Click the button that says "I Agree - Opt In to Beta".

Happy printing (and less failing)!
